That’s the problem. They all start out with good intentions but get corrupted by lobbyists. They stay too long! It was never intended to be a career.

I don’t think they should be there for 30 years

There's no term limit for lobbyists.
There's no term limit for congressional staffers.
Look at the number of cabinet members and appointees who are former politicians and lobbyists, not to mention former military, FBI, NSA, CIA, federal reserve, etc.

Term limits sounds good but it doesn't even skim the surface of the problems.
