If she caucuses with the Democrats like Sanders and King then the Dems still have 51-49 control. She says she wants to keep her committee assignments so it's likely she'll work with the Dems. She voted for Dems on most issues but she's not willing to go along with ending the filibuster and a few other extreme things Dems want. If the Dems put a nominee against her it will make it more likely a Republican will win assuming Republicans put up a decent candidate.
