I'm listening to the tribute on SXM Deep Tracks now but this thread was the first thing I'd seen of it. Believe me, that's a story I'd notice.
I have most of their music and been listening to it too. Their later stuff is OK but not nearly as good as the 70's and early 80's music
They progressed and tried different types of instruments and music.

Mid to late 80's they went away from the original guitar heavy sound but later went back to closer to their roots. I agree they experimented. Later music is still OK but tended to sound too much the same for several albums.
