I just throw them in and let God sort them out will I'm delivering. No scanning. Much better. Now if I could just figure out how to clear my scanner in the morning to not have to go into the office.
Check your inbox, dunno if I can tell u out loud on the board...

Yup most just do that. Just load n go.
Dex 027 & 012 are at an all time high now

I wasted time checking off everything on my pile to the printed manifest & still found 5 boxes not on the scanner or printed list... ugh even the ops manager tried to ring scanner them after the Qatar clerk tried multiple times

It's usually happening to send agains and pips from misplots/missorts. New sid# and pal stickers printed out, but it's not inserted to the list for the day's delivery

Whelp, Saturday still sucked... one week into this new system

Garmin GPS units were good. Data cable good. Found out it's the dirty power pad contacts.

All is good.

Preloaders still not putting boxes on correct routes.

Drivers just load n go since it wastes too much preload time to check off each section.

I was missing 5 boxes this Saturday. So dex 016 is now the most used in our terminal in addition to 027 & 012

2 knew how to text me via power pad... example:

yo, they misloaded 3 stops to my truck... sid 2020, 3500, 5060

ugh, there goes my extra $4.50 in pay! Thanx fo da headz up.

I located 1 box that wasn't on my printed manifest or e-manifest on the power pad...

found it late & luckily delivered it 2 miles away.

If they don't fix this problem, I'm not gonna care anymore and will start bringing back send agains. If we're paid hourly, then we'll care more.

QA clerk is working overtime to clean up the mess... he has access to our work areas, while I can't get a simple map overview?

Sure, I can see it later on my Garmin, when I log in, but it splits up the whole trip to 4-5 separate clusters, not the big picture

Damn, I wonder how it gets done at Express? No paper manifest, no map overview, no GPS, yet drivers some how know what's on their truck and where to go.:happy2:

If we're paid hourly, then they'll look at each box... right now, not enough preloaders to even do the belt line like over at ground terminals.

So it's later dispatch the.whole.week. before, drivers were out the terminal as early as 0730. It's been as late as 1000 to 1100 before heading out, unacceptable.

drivers doing what Jim is doing, shovel it in and get on road asap.

If they gave us preload pay, then mebbe we'll stay longer during the sort. Which is my investor class is now doing until management hires the appropriate workers to get up to speed.

15- 20 min fine sort will save possibly hours on road. But hey, you keep doing it your way and i'm sure Ground will hire more handlers.:happy2:

I'm not sitting there checking off all the boxes from my printed manifest like before... more like 3 hours, not 20-30 minutes.

Which is why our terminal is seeing record dex codes since implementing this system. Preload scans barcode on the belt, places on pallet... drivers just shovel them in, trusting the preload for their accuracy so they can go on road asap.

They weren't 100% accurate during the vrp days, so I'm not holding my breath for accurate loads with this system.

I spotted a misload for my neighboring route while I loaded my own truck this Saturday... good thing I didn't take it for a ride, like what other drivers are doing.

They're just trying to cut corners to get hourly workers off the clock asap and leave the mess to the drivers

Bro you load your own truck from a pile. There's no reason it would take 3 hours. You need to go observe an Express sort to see how it's done.

Hell, I load my truck and my neighbors truck at Express. Even loading multiple trucks I have time to spot misplots and bad addresses during the sort. No reason why you can’t do the same from a pile of boxes.

It will be fine

It’s a bit easier when it’s just a pile of envelopes.

It's waiting for the sorters to get done... these drivers come in early, then load as they are unloading the trailers...

It's summer, I should've come in early like last year in the vrp days that is done the sort by 0730 to load n go on route at 0900... not with the new system... I'm not going in at 0700 anymore since preload is not wrapped up by 1000 that week

Where ever did that “Express only handles envelopes” fantasy get started anyway?
I know many was the time I wished that only were true. :crying:

Bro it doesn't take 3 hours to load your truck from a pile on a pallet. You keep making excuses why you can't fine sort and verify every pkg. It just doesn't add up.

No it doesn't anymore... we come in later since they can't wrap it up by 1000.

Some come in early to cram their truck, then they shoot themselves in the foot for going over the dot hours.

So we come in later & load n go. Log into the scanner, get our printed manifest., then get on road.

We'll just look at the 1000 section & line it up 5-10 stops at a time. & if they spot a misload, so be it.

Rinse / repeat for the next section 1500... 2000... 2500... etc

We're not verifying anything on the manifest during the sort anymore...it takes too much time
