Newbie mistake falsifying signature

* Walgreens! Kmart is now the same way. Our Kmart has a sign at their back door now saying "No one in receiving today please call xxx-xxxx" but it's there everyday. I can't wait until I get the diad message telling me to re-attempt the delivery or pick up and when I do I'm gonna ring the buzzer and just leave again because no one is back there.

When I was trained on a route with a Kmart recently my ocs said it's our procedure to call for receiving. So I don't think bailing would work for me.

We had a Walgreens next door and I obnoxiously rang the buzzer until the guy came back. He looked annoyed but I was out of s to give.

When you are on that route, ask for a phone. My center has 3 phones for that.

If it is an issue, leave your phone at home. Go to KMart, ring the buzzer, leave an Info Notice. If you get the green light of death, reply, "I have no cell phone." Repeat as needed. If you have to repeat it more than twice, I would be surprised.

If you cannot leave your phone at home, for whatever stupid reason, reply, "My phone battery is dead."

Once in a blue moon. But I'm "Home Delivery" so I'll usually get one or three business stops by accident when Ground should've had it

I pull up to their parking lot, grab one of their shopping cart s, scan and n n load em up, stroll thru the front door directly to a cashier or the photo area, usually where a manager is stocking something...

Excuse me, but FedEx gave me these by accident. I'm usually delivering to residential addresses, and they thought this was a private home.

I do it for relatives. I frequently deliver to in laws, if their door is unlocked, so I can put things inside, I sign MY NAME. If I cannot get inside the house, they get an info notice.

Pretty sure over half the people at my center do stupid like this. I see NI1 or nsn on businesses all the time. I mean come on they load you up to failure and you still trying to help them out by falsifying deliveries and not bringing back missed. You need to tell them in the morning this ain't gonna work, tell them again on route till you get a response, then when it does work try to limit the damage but do it honestly. Just run straight air and business.

so I pretty new to ups about two years. I love my job and the route I have been doing for about 8 months since the original driver retired. About a month ago I got hurt was out for a month. Friday first day back I was back on the route heavy ass business about 76 stops 40 pick ups that's just business. So I am very close with most of the customers and they ask me to sign for them I know I know that's not policy. So I went and delivered called the customer no answer and went back to the stop rescanned and tagged the door. He usually answers I called three times he didn't answer so rescanned the packed ni1 but had already signed for it and didn't void out first stop. Now I'm being fired or discharged not sure which one. I admitted my mistake and told them I was trying to fix it. Not sure what to do I'm not a problem employee don't have a attendance problem. Love my job not sure what steps I should take next

The year I worked a 22.3 job, I would at times be sent up to our satellite areas to make a pickup or meet a driver. If I was instructed to call someone when I got to my destination, I would always request a phone.

I always got one of the old Nokias they had around just for those situations.

I have an Amazon locker stop and my supervisor advised me to sign the board that I had dropped off the packages. I don't think I should half to put my name on the board so I just sign "driver".

Never ever sign the DIAD with anything. No X, No I left the package here, No nothing. If you must just DR the package. Take the hit if it goes missing. You sign you can be walked off.
