That’s not true. It runs with with far less overhead than any private insurer.

Oh, come on now.

It gets a lot of off-the-books help from other agencies. The IRS and Social Security administration collect most of the money that operates the program. Medicare doesn't pay any taxes on the premiums they charge.

And then some.

It will be fine

Sounds efficient to me.

A good part of the time, no one pays, hospitals write off un-collectible accounts all the time.
Yes, someone does pay. It comes by means of increased fees for services rendered in order to absorb the losses as the result of people stiffing the hospital. Fees that are handed off to insurers who hand it off to subscribers in the form of higher premiums.

No one said anything about that, so I gather that you're hearing the voices in your head again.
The voice I hear is yours. The voice I hear is that of a guy who thinks he's set for life. A lot of people thought that too until their lives changed dramatically sometime around 2008 when they lost their jobs, their benefits, their homes etc. due to events beyond their control . If you are in the employment of someone else you dare not assume that everything is going to work out to your benefit.

Thank you for making a point I've made forever, but couldn't seem to convince your political type. We are agreed, there is no such thing as free college, free phones, etc, hence the saying, "no free lunch." Someone does pay, and it is not the sponges that buy the spiel propagated by leftist, socialist progressive politicians that feed it to their plantation slaves. Thanks for the assist. :thumbup1::2guns:

It's your talking point. I said nothing about it either way.

Your Honor, I move to strike my client's previous testimony, as he was not advised of his 5th Amendment right against self incrimination.

You devious devil, you.

Ok so from what I gather you believe that healthcare is to be the exclusive domain of those you can pay for it independently? That's what you seem to be implying.

He was pointedly ascribing your own admission as to how Socialism works, to you.

Somebody else always has to pay if you don't.

Easy to feel that way as long as you are employed by a company that has an employer funded health insurance plan. Needless to say when your job goes among the missing so does your health insurance. Oh well, as long as it happens to the other guy.....but what if it happens to you?

With the great economy it's doubtful his job will go away. Plentiful jobs out there, go get one with a plan.

If you want to make a better living, make a better effort. If you're content with doing the work that any idiot off the street can do, how good a living have you earned?
Ahh "Idiot". A person lacking in mental capacity through no fault of his/her own. Yes, you are an elitist. How do you know an "Idiot" isn't trying his level best? I guess its all relative isn't? Pretty sure, to someone in Mensa, you're an Idiot. To Elon Musk, you're the loser lol.
