I had a Yugo SKS. I hated that thing. Dropped the bolt one day and it shot. Told my buddy I’m thankful I’m smart enough to keep the muzzle downrange and it didn’t shoot him. Took it to the gun store, told them about it, and traded it in.


Thing was a jamming son of a bitch.

If it jammed, there was definitely something wrong.

In my opinion porting a 686 is fairly pointless. It has enough weight to dampen recoil without extra work.

Recoil from a .357 never bothered me. I don't feel much difference in shooting my 686 and my K-22.

Except for the noise. A .357 hurts my ears worse than anything else if I don't use hearing protection.

Two mods I have in mind so far: green fiber optic front sight, and removal of the internal lock including having the Hillary hole plugged.
