To be honest I don't know but I think it's Stevens. Only markings on it are the words "Ranger".

When I looked it up all I could find was that it was sold by Sear Roebuck and that a few firearms manufacturers made rifles for them. Steven's and Springfield being a couple of them.
I have a Stevens-Savage 22/410 that was my fathers. I reblued it myself (Birchwood Casey kit) a long time ago. It looks OK but would look a lot better if I knew what I was doing at the time.

Went with a friend to pick up his new S&W M&P Shield in .45.
I have one in 9mm, but what if I like his better when we shoot it???
I've been meaning to get one of those in 9mm. You'll need to report back, and tell me what you think of the .45 compared to it.
I figured the .45 would be a bit heavier, and less convenient to haul around, but not sure if that's accurate.
