They are giving warehouse workers full pay and benefits from day one at amazon....I would like to know how much they are starting amazon workers out at... has to be more than ups....had a friend go work at amazon in some sort of non warehouse capacity....and they found her on monster.... she said the pay and benefits were substantially more than her old job...
Will be interesting to see what kind of concessions UPS wants next contract in exchange for ever so kindly bringing part timer pay and benefits in line with what Amazon is offering. Which they'll probably have to do to compete in areas where both companies have sorts anyway. "Day one PT benefits and $14.50 an hour to start for preloaders? What a huge demand! It's gonna cost ya!"
