Election into office, comes with privileges. Most members are not aware of that.

"Privileges" like lots of free golf clubs, a new high dollar SUV, position as an officer even if it was illegal to hold that position, and the misuse of over $1 mil of members dues?
Oh, I forgot. Those aren't positions the members elect.
Compared to those issues I'd say the iio couldn't care less.

There were irregularities, but nothing that was illegal and hadn't been done before.

I'm not going to defame anyone (especially PD who I greatly respect) but given the fact that Z aggravates you, whether a valid gripe or not, we have extremely difficult issues closer to home.
When a local has to go to the nlrb to get justice in spite of a panel ruling and they succeed getting the resolution overturned despite what a co chair ruled its failure for all of us.
Here's your resolution that brought about the "changes" we (may) witness going forward.
If every representative put the members first I wouldn't care about someone's family background (so to speak).
It's our money. Fight for us honestly.
Thats all I ask.

Your spirit and enthusiasm for change is interesting, but seems extremely naive. For every one person looking to do the right thing, there are 20 others protecting each other so they don't have to. Like I always say, good people don't vie for power and prestige in the corporate world and the Teamsters union will make sure that those with good intentions are outed.

Naive isnt my best "quality".
I've counted the cost before I posted this. I know what repercussions are all about.
I dont care.
If I have to stand up by myself it wont be the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last.
Nor do I disrespect BUG. He's always tempered his response to my posts. He has probably treated me with more respect than I've deserved at times since we live in a cave (local) here and have only had stewards training once since the 90s which, by the way, was confirmed at a local meeting.
When I leave this vocation I want the members to remember that I wasnt afraid to stand up to corruption on either side of the fence. That's all a man can ask.
