Management informed us this morning that FedEx Express will be hiring contractors from a company called Quest to deliver freight with us this Peak. They will be trained on the new power pads. Anyone else also told this?
You were told that Express will use "Cartage Agents" something they've done for years, although recently they've begun to realize that sending helpers out on road is cheaper and helps productivity more than Cartage Agents.

I’m aware they’ve been using cartage agents for a long time. Cartage agents usually take a few packages. I’m talking about Quest drivers doing whole routes. I need to find out more about it.

FedEx driver saves Stark man from burning car

This man’s son is a FedEx employee. He posted on Facebook that his dad burned his hand pretty bad saving this guy and went to the hospital. His manager gave him an OLCC for not punching out. PSP at its best. SMH.
Reminds me of years ago a UPS driver used his truck to pin a man against a wall because man was shooting people. UPS fired him for improper use of his truck.

Just telling it like it is
Violence is a zero tolerance offense, even though I kinda agree with that dumb as manager being slapped if that was the case
Maybe some public humiliation (negative newspaper or TV news story)of said manager could be just as effective.
