Ah....a communist.

You know....I had a sinking feeling....

The far, far left.......

As anti- American as you can get.

Today, would associate with Biden, Antifa, BLM, Harris, Chomsky, Obama and other far left communist/socialist, PLA.

Writing American history.....OMG.

Considered mainstream by democrats.....OMG.
It's a good book and you should read it. This left-winger has read a couple Rush Limbaugh books, Solzhenitsyn, Whittaker Chambers, and his opponent, Rand, and Branden. I was a fan of all of them. Solzhenitsyn and Rand/Branden will always have a place on my bookshelf.

It's boring and extremely limiting to just read :censored2: you already know and/or agree with 100%. What do you gain from that?

I'm the same way. Want to get different points of view. The only way you can really grow. I'm fascinated by authors that have sold a ton of books on subjects that I don't agree with. You have to walk in other peoples' shoes before you can understand.

Living in South East Asia back in the 70's was a sad but good experience to go thru. Travelling thru some of Europe, Mexico , and all over the U.S. was also good.

Luckily for me I had a mother that read 5 books a week and took us kids to the library all the time. My parents bought us books, magazine subscriptions , and monitored our TV time which I am forever grateful for.

I read about 75 - 100 books a year. 99% non fiction. Used to read sci-fi and westerns in my teens and 20's but the last 40 years think that non-fiction is more exciting.

Go thru phases. Sometimes read all about the early American West , then change over to war books, history is always great. biographies ( like to know what makes successful people tick ) , the American Indian and much more.

We had one room that was filled with bookcases and books. When the grandkids came over I let them take whatever they wanted. Now paring down giving many to thrift stores and the library for their fundraising sales . Still have over a 1000 left , many of them are worth a lot of money; first editions and rare books that we will keep.

For who? Commies?

Ok....then....what did you get out of Rush? You knew of the man. Why read what he has to say?

He made me aware of democrats.....particularly liberals. That changed my life.

Allowed me to tune in on how liberalism is destroying the very fabric of America. Just how far it reaches. He was absolutely correct. Look at any Democrat/liberal controlled area....complete chaos and crime. Anything liberals/democrats touch.

I don't need to read commie/liberal claptrap.

So, seeing how communism is so antithetical to America's freedom....how do you support it? You seem far left....yet enjoyed reading freely....the ultimate far left would never allow such freedoms. Yet you support it. Odd. Ironic.

lol this argument is silly. Much more to an individuals city, then what political party is running it.

Why not? Of those, I got the least out of Rush (I only read his first two books). They're just fun, low-investment, low-content leisure reads, very similar to listening to him on the radio, which I also did occasionally for awhile. That was really his medium.

If you're really fascinated by the idea of Communists destroying America (and you clearly are), you'd probably like Whittaker Chambers' "Witness" if you haven't read it. It's compelling, Chambers was a great writer, and it's full of interesting stuff from the era when Communism was a force in US politics.

Then why do yo support communism? Books are the first to go. You would never have been allowed such reading in a Democrat/ squad utopia.

They don't have books in gulags.

Hey man, whatever it takes to sleep sound at night.
If you wanna think you're a centrist, it's wrong, but so are your ideas on governance.

Par for the course.

you skipped over my post that said I don’t claim a party. This was from a random test I took. Of course my ideas are wrong on the browncafe lol. If I had the good ole boy talking points you’d love me.

If you listen real hard, you can hear my eyes rolling.
Of course you're a moderate middle of the road reasonable guy. Sure.

There's guys on the right I don't like here too. I like people who can think for themselves.
And you can't.
