Honestly though, it's like the zoomers crying about high house prices and posting historical charts of the increase in prices.

Well guess what, overlay the increase in average square footage over that time frame and you'll see the problem.

Everything is bigger, better, safer, more technologically advanced, more efficient, etc. etc.

Saying cars and housing used to be more affordable isn't an apples to apples comparison. It's really just a bunch of meaningless stats.
housing is 2x as expensive now as it was just 10 years ago here. interest rate was lower

this is apples to apples.

I had an :censored2: supervisor who drove a brand new lifted and loaded truck. He had to
-remind everyone he paid over $50,000 for it and then put nearly $10,000 more in to it for lifts, lights and wheels
-then complained about his 45 mile drive and how it took 3 gallons of gas each way

His truck was also bright royal blue with extra chrome so when he was out driving around you could see it a mile away.
its hard to have a truly unique car

my bro has 200,000 km on his cx5 and the tranny is going. i told him go to a tranny shop and get them to install a used tranny. much better than blowing money on another used car.

Message came up again today while driving. Left it on for 8 minutes- wouldn’t go away until I hit ok. :-)

How stupid.
When LeBarons first came out, it was early technology, they talked to you.
I test drove a new one. I got in and shut the door:
"you are a pretard"
I looked over at the salesman and said" I think the car just called me a pretard."
He said," You are a pretard. It said your door is ajar."

So how is it my fault?
I have zero interest in an electric vehicle.
It’s not your fault and Wilbert knows that, The plan is not to replace all gas vehicles, The plan is less vehicles. The plan is pay by the ride model where most people do not own a vehicle that’s the dirty secret, they know the switchover to everyone owning an electric vehicle will never happen because it’s not affordable.

That's not be good for the car manufacturers...

True. But a huge blue pickup with lots of extra chrome sticks the hell out.
With proper care the conservative lifespan of a battery is 100k, and horror stories of tesla cell death and replacement are becoming common place.
Teslas are horribly unreliable. Even before Musk owned/triggered the Libs his cars were at the bottom of reliability and build quality. Consumer had Tesla rated below known crap brands like Range Rover and Jaguar.
