This is like Obama buying beachfront property. He doesn't believe in global warming and rising sea levels. Period.

FakeTexan doesn't believe in precious metal shortages, because he hasn't changed his life to account for it. Period.

There is no May, it’s a guarantee. That is the whole point of that idea.
It's may until proven otherwise. The courts may rule against invasion of our privacy. We'll have to wait and see. I wouldn't be surprised if all crypto's are made illegal in favor of central banks. If so that's trillions lost. The U.S. Dollar at this point is still the world's safe haven in bad economic times. If they start trying to control everything then they'd likely lose a lot of investment into the country that makes the rich and powerful even moreso. So I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that we'll all end up enslaved to a relative few. What will likely happen is whatever works that makes them wealthy and keeps the masses from revolting is the most likely path. Which is the fine line they've been walking for some time now.

I've pointed out the flaws. They're all silly. There is no shortage on the scale you're talking about.
If you believed there was, genuinely believed it, you'd have already bugged out.
So it's silly to continue. You don't even believe it yourself.
Why would I leave my elderly parents in their time of need? There's more to life than accruing wealth.

(Reuters) - California energy officials on Friday issued a sober forecast for the state's electrical grid, saying it lacks sufficient capacity to keep the lights on this summer and beyond if heatwaves, wildfires or other extreme events take their toll.

In an online briefing with reporters, the officials forecast a potential shortfall of 1,700 megawatts this year, a number that could go as high as 5,000 MW if the grid is taxed by multiple challenges that reduce available power while sending demand soaring, state officials said during an online briefing with reporters.

Supply gaps along those lines could leave between 1 million and 4 million people without power. Outages will only happen under extreme conditions, officials cautioned, and will depend in part on the success of conservation measures.

You would be a fool to buy an EV in California or Texas now. Wait until the :poop: hits the fan this summer and the blackouts start. Your EV will be worth whatever the price of scrap metal is.
