Panel hearing

That question was directed to @Shecoope.

How do you know this?

Because he’s going to an out of state panel for an attendance termination and hasn’t mentioned a legit reason for it. Family member broke a bone at a limbo contest, was on a mission to heal the sick, feed the hungry, ensure world peace, open a hot dog stand, etc.

Had this happen to two of my buddy’s . One of them got his job back , the other was asked if we bring you back will you be on time and not miss a day . He replied with I wil try to . They told him to get leave right there and then. Best advice is to toe the line , dress nice and à say what yes to whatever they want you to do.

We had a 22.3 guy in 2004 call in something like 120 times in 12 months. Including an entire peak season.

He called in sick for 2 1/2 weeks because his dog got hit by a car, and they finally let him go.
Dog (and owner) gone!

Make sure your union represented you in good faith if they didn't and you get let go then file charges with nlrb for unfair representation. And go to panel wear a Hoffa hall hat and a suit. And bring your butt to work many of the problems you have will be solved by coming to work every day

On a case of attendance, the Union showing up is duty of fair representation.

Couldn't hurt.

Yep.

The old "my dog ate my homework" excuse.... has worn thin.

If UPS wasn't dealing out discipline equally for others then it shouldn't have gone past a local hearing. If they weren't and it did the local friend'd up big time, and the farther you go from local the harder it gets. I wouldn't say cooked turkey if they don't show up, but it's probably more up to if the arbitrator had a really good escort the night before and was feeling very pleased and just wants to spread the good fortune the next day. So probably boiled goose instead.
