Pope Francis says Catholic Church banning priests from engaging in sex is 'temporary' (On Topic Only)

Why are there so many different versions of God’s word? Which one is the correct one?
Ditto for different denominations of Christians.

It wasn’t that long ago Christians warred with Christians over these ideas.
Their missionaries want to spread the word of god but can't seem to figure out exactly what that word is.

God must be flawed for creating flawed humans then?

You got something there. But let’s not take your word for it let’s go to the book from God himself and see what he says:
Genesis 1:27… “So God created “Man” in his “OWN IMAGE”, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
So an image is a reflection of the original. Flawed original makes a flawed image. Can’t argue with that.

Here is another one for you. Ask most Bible believers and they will say God is all knowing. So let’s go again to the Bible itself and see just one example of a confusing scripture if this is true.

Genesis 6:6… And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Why would it grieve God for something that he created and how it turned out? God can create anything anyway he wants to right? And since he is all knowing he would of already known what the outcome would be so why would he be grieved at what he made when he saw what the outcome was?

You keep saying "in a long time" but that's not true. I owe some taxes. Millions of Americans do. Get over yourself.

You can't be serious about the East Palestine derailment. Seriously?

We know what this is about. You've been ragging on FedEx for years because you got reamed when you bought a Ground route from them. Maybe you should've had a performance audit done before buying lol. Anyways I have the temerity to point out some obvious truths about how they operate that don't jibe with what you want people to believe. I've told you I'm not going to lie for them or for you either. Being the socialist you are you want to control what people see, read, and think. And have no tolerance for anyone who insists on transparency.
For all cash basis calendar year taxpayers that's you and me the final day to settle your previous year's tax liability is April 15th If you have not paid your full liability for that year then you are a delinquent taxpayer who owes back taxes.

Is that you? A person owing back taxes and cries about government over spending? Crying about earmarks which you call "porK" even though earmarks account for only 1.6% of all federal spending?

Oh BTW....I didn't buy a route. It was given to me. All I had to do was to post a $500 escrow bond. Sign off on the truck lease and away I went. Oh, and how do you do a performance audit on a startup Day 1 operation?

BTW following Allan Shaw's stonewalling testimony in front of a PA Senate committee the committee has made it clear that it will accept nothing less than to make Norfolk Southern pay all the costs associated with the damages it's derailment caused on both sides of the state border. And that committee is GOP controlled.

And BTW I watched Allan Shaw's interview on one of the business networks. What I conveyed to you were the very facts surrounding the management style he brought to Norfolk Southern as he explained during his interview.

How does his management style affect the government's response to the derailment? You know, the one you said was no bigger than other recent derailments?

You got reamed by FedEx and you've been bitching ever since.

Please justify an almost $7 trillion budget proposal!

Can't imagine why we're over $31 trillion in debt!

Cleanup couldn't begin until the fire was finally OUT. The air quality was deemed safe and until the rail safety people cold investigate and try to determine a cause. Video of the train going through town showed a shower of sparks and fire coming out from the wheels on one of the rail cars. In addition the train crew said that electronic sensors notified them of a problem only a few seconds before the cars started flying off the tracks. This is all PUBLIC information and discourse.

As for Fedex. Your own complaints regarding the company are well known because we've been hearing about it for years. And I told you that I informed management my S-corps financial records were private information protected under US privacy laws and if my mine were ever called in and audited I was gone. And gone I was. Economically I didn't need to continue and the returns multi route ownership offered were not in balance with the risks involved.

They should've never burned it off. The town is about shot to hell.

And yet you bitch about FedEx to this day. Fred has a suite in your head.

Bitch about Fedex? You're the one who taught me how to do it.

Did you look at the highlights from Allan Shaw's appearance in front of the Pa Senate Committee?
Blamed the decision to let the vinyl chloride burn itself out on the chief of the local volunteer fire department.
Bragged about setting up a help center for the residents affected. A center residents say had nothing to offer.
According to testimony from other witnesses the only thing Shaw cared about was getting trains running on that track immediately.
Claimed that the federal response was too slow. Of course it was too slow in his mind's eye. The only thing that mattered to him was getting that track cleared and his trains running. But like a plane crash nothing moves until the crash investigators can inspect the scene and conduct the standard investigation in order to determine the cause.

Oh and here's the good part. He claimed that he was going to "make it right" with the people of East Palestine. When asked for specific measures he was going to take in order to "make it right"....He refused to answer.

Allan Shaw is a prime example of today's greedy CEO.....And I bet he went to church last Sunday.

Are you saying humans were not imperfect before they sinned/rejected God’s design?
They were created in a "perfect environment " and were given the ability to make choices. We as humans chose to disobey, creating a separation.
I suppose if we weren't given the ability to make choices & were created to a robotic allegiance to God then it wouldn't be a genuine allegiance.

So are you saying that although their environment was perfect that’s human’s were flawed/imperfect before they sinned/rejected God’s design?

Is that your take?

If God couldn’t or wouldn’t create a perfect heaven how or why would he create a perfect place on earth. If you say Heaven is perfect then why was there sin (rebellion) in heaven that made angels follow Satan? And since only God can create things and he created Satan then just where did Satan get evil from? Satan could not of had anything God did not create and plan on him to have unless the all knowing God didn’t see that coming.
These are just a couple more things why I can’t believe the Bible is more than just a man made book that has contradiction after contradiction. I believe a God that is smart enough to create all that there is would never be a failure the Bible makes him out to be. If I stand before God and I’m wrong I will only be wrong thinking he was smarter, kinder and more awesome than the Bible says. I’m OK with that and I can’t imagine what kind of God wouldn’t be also.

IMO you make some very logical and sound points, not saying I agree or disagree but they are definitely worthy of thought and reflection to me.

I firmly believe that there are those who limit God by their belief that the Bible holds all authority and understanding of God.

I too cannot limit God to simply religion and religious traditions, written or not.

I think God is so much kinder, smarter, awesome and more loving than He gets credit for from religion.

The difference between you and me on FedEx is I've kicked Fred out of the suite in my head. You give him room service.

A lot of blame to go around on the train derailment. But it was a disaster that required a proactive Federal response. The only clarity that the Feds provided was that Mayor Pete isn't qualified to run the D.O.T.

The best analogy I can think of on my lunch break is this...why do the navy seals put people through such hell to get into their ranks? They set them up for failure and test them to their absolute limits. Only those who endure receive the trident.

Why can't God decide that he wants to put us through that spiritual test as well? Only taking those who seek to conform to him. Obstacles are in the path like Satan, worldly endeavors & so called "contradictions."

The Bible says you are a wicked father compared to him. So let me ask you this… Would you produce a child and put in him a tempting nature and then give him a tempter to follow him around and maybe let that child have a disease or a disability to see if he is worthy of your “ranks” and then if that child falls for the tempter that you created to temp him with then would you punish that child by separating him from you forever because he failed your test? Not me… Just one more reason I believe that God is not like the one the Bible speaks of.
