I did not know postal workers had to pay into their own pension. I guess working for the federal government is not what I thought. I wonder what kind of retirement/pension the FBI, DEA, ATF, etc. get..?

My wife is forced to pay into a state pension fund for teachers. It' garbage. I ran the numbers, I could do better with any index fund. Literally, any s&p index would outperform it if the market gave just half of it's average returns.

Them squandering your money is a requirement for employment. Sad.
