RFKJ is gonna be a guy moderate voters won’t feel bad about voting for. The media is really gonna need to shut him out in the coming months if Biden won’t be stepping down.
Did you see his super-pac's Super Bowl commercial? Really sharp. Favorite line: "He's old enough to know, and young enough to do."

Yep. And accusations from the left that he’s a plant that’s intended to draw votes away from Biden probably are true. But that doesn’t really matter. Things need to change and nobody’s home at the White House right now.

Young and old enough to be a dumb anti-vax racist weirdo.

The COVID vaccines aren’t so retrospectively hot with many people. What’s the racist accusation about since everything is called racist these days?

RFK peddled some racist theory that Jews and some other race were protected from Covid. Baseless crap meant to make low IQ public think Jews might be behind Covid as a bioweapon. Going off memory. I don’t care.

That whole border bill fiasco suggests to me that republicans do not care about real results, just political power.
They cry until they are red in the face about this "invasion" but literally deny a bill that would've provided a lot of relief for border security and increase restrictions on asylum.

Republicans don't actually care about solving the problem. Republicans don't care about improving the situation. Trump wants to run on this issue and if the issue is improving then that takes a lot of wind out of his sails.

Voters in swing state suburbs will see through this shambolic nonsense and punish Republicans. Most of America considers immigration in terms other than "an invasion".

Good luck, red hats.

Tell us again how letting 5000 illegals a day in improves border security?

Under the new immigration bill, the Department of Homeland Security could close the border if too many migrants were showing up with asylum claims. After negotiators conferred with the Border Patrol and officials at the Department of Homeland Security, they crafted the legislation to give DHS the authority to close the border if they reached a seven-day average of 4,000 or more border encounters. A seven-day average of 5,000 or more would mandate a border closure.

And it's only mandated to close if it reaches a 5000 a day average. So 4900 a day equals just under 1.8 million a year of people who aren't being vetted. Why would we believe DHS would stop anywhere after 4000 a day, which is still way too high? They haven't for 3 years and fought Texas trying to stop it. Republicans are 100% right in stopping this bill.

Migrants who tried to cross the border illegally would be detained immediately, with their asylum claims decided while they were in detention. People would be removed immediately within 15 days if they failed their asylum claim interviews.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

From what I’ve read, the 5000 only counts if the illegal aliens come from a country with a contiguous border with the USA, like Mexico or Canada. So it doesn’t count anyone from anywhere else. The bill was total garbage.

Except they aren't catching everyone crossing, and we have no way of knowing what standard would be used concerning asylum interviews. They have already let in 8 million+ with a court date most won't attend. They aren't vetted like they would be under the legal immigration process and as we've already seen there are criminals and terrorists in the mix. Sorry, the administration had three years to do this the right way and didn't. You want funding for Ukraine and Israel and want to tie in allowing up to 5000 a day in at the border? Anything less than completely shutting down the border to illegal crossings isn't going to happen. And with a Republican president and Congress we're going to get the wall and shut it down.

One more thing. Let's say a hefty % fail their interview. DHS could let 8,000 cross to get 5000 who pass the interview then shut down the border. They're allowing 5000 a day into the country. I may be wrong but wouldn't put it past them.

And they know good and well most are from elsewhere.
