That's kind of my point. There was no peace then and to the extent there was any extra degree of peace I don't believe Trump's presidency had anything to do with it.
His generals had to reign him and his ideas in so he wouldn't escalate things out of control. Lucky for us he's weaker than he claims when he's on the stump.

Just off the top of my head, sanctions on Iran and Russia, which directly led to the disasters in Ukraine and Israel.
Putin invaded Georgia in 2008 while Bush was president. Took Crimea during Obama's tenure as well as supported rebels in eastern Ukraine. Full-scale war against Ukraine 2022.
Who invaded whom during Trump's term? Trump got the Abraham Accords signed between Israel, the U.A.E., and Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco. Got a withdrawal from Afghanistan put in place. Destroyed ISIS and took out Iran's top general behind Iran's state funded terror activities. Forced NATO partners to pay their required share of NATO funding. Met face to face with North Korean leadership in North Korea, a first.
If that's being laughed at and worked at every turn then let's have a lot more of that.

The lion's share of the UN's financial support package for Ukraine will land on US soil and be used for military equipment, medical supplies, food/water and clothing. Hopefully the US can take a small step back and the EU can step up.
Pretty much everyone who isn't totally partisan is saying it.
The Europeans can't supply those things?

Really? Much of what you cited comes to us from China. $350 billion spent on Ukraine so far and $77 billion of that was our spending. Over a quarter of a trillion wasn't. Did it all come here? If so that might explain our economy.
