I agree but I've been told the union has been folding like a cheap tent everywhere. Basically telling ups yeah roll it out however you want.

mondays and Saturdays are gonna be like the day after Xmas. I see lots of 4 day work weeks. Then the company will push for a 4 10's schedule so they don't have to pay OT.
We have that language in our supplement
They have the option to make a route 4X10 if agreed upon.

I like the thought of 3 days off but that's a long ass day. My buddy does 4 10's but it's more like an 8 two 9 and a 10.

It's much cheaper to pay a driver $52 an hour overtime I guess??

in my on cars car and quit. LolThey worry about the wrong numbers. They have a loophole during peak to use cheaper labor. They are too worried about your stops per hour over the cost per package delivered.

4 10's would be a huge pay cut for most of us. Most days are 9.5 - 10+ already with all the overtime pay. 10 a "long ass day"? That's an average day out of 5. Last week I had 3 11's - in February! I hope a 4 day work week is never forced. Some of us appreciate the OT income.
It's easy to forget that the typical driver makes a good $20-$25K a year in OT. That would be a lifestyle adjustment that a lot of guys wouldn't like.

4 10's would be awesome. I have a family and my time has far more worth than money. There's life. If you can't hack it on ups wages in a 40 hour week you're doing it wrong.
I know I take it easy on Sunday when I know I'll probably be coming into a random blown out route Monday. If I knew I'd be off it would be Sunday-Funday full steam ahead!
