But gov't mandates aren't.
See the story about the USPS' desire to replace their ancient fleet of vehicles.
Yes, and a pure EV was submitted as a proposal and went through testing, and not even chosen. Most will be gas.

Whats your point?

It was union corruption. Biden is more beholden to unions than EVs.

Tickle me Elmo’s we’re popular and some people waited for hours and spent big bucks for them.
I wonder if they then came on a forum and went on and on and on about how great they were???
Like trying to find Anyone to agree with them…
LOL
Free markets works! Time for these ever so wonderful electric cars to survive in the free market. People will pay the true market price, sans any government dollars, if they are a good deal.

EVs are not receiving any more special treatment than others at the moment. Teslas get less than average. You're arguing against a figment of your imagination. EVs are doubling every year because they are better.

This is the stock of the pure EV company that bid for USPS. Biden chose gas because he owed the unions in Wisconsin some payback for electing him.

How much government monet went into building and operations? That all is a part of the unit's price. Also include fuel taxes they are not paying.

You are asking because you do not know. That much is clear.

Tesla is the least government dependent automaker. In all respects. Biden didn't even invite Elon to EV summits.

The government and Dem politicians largely hate Tesla, because they aren't unionized. He defied pandemic orders and ran the factory.

Elon has been snubbed for every environmental summit or plan for that reason. And many tax credits are built to exclude Tesla.

They still win. They're just better than everyone else.

Time for Musk to "tesla" the free market waters...

The cars are selling way under actual cost.

Elon paid a penalty to pay the government back early with interest and penalties. And factories are going up with no subsidies.

Ford still owes uncle Sam from 2009, lol

Tesla created massive free cash flow this year and that element dwindled.

And all those alleged handouts are smaller than the subsidies for Ford and GM get. Tesla beat Fords best quarter in its entire history while selling much fewer cars. This isn't even a fair fight.

You're googling furiously to find the last remaining bits of ammo, and it's all misinformation. And I've already seen it.

Looks like the highest estimate you can get is 2500/car.

Tesla just raised prices by much more than that on each model just because demand is so high and they can charge whatever they want.

They aren't living on subsidies.

State incentives for building some factories exists for every large business in America, and has nothing to do with EVs. Others for Tesla went up or are going up with none. That's life.

You're clowning yourself if you think 2.5B in subsidies is making the difference for a 1 trillion dollar company.

It‘a not just the subsidies they receive, it’s also the punishment automakers face for producing a bunch of gas guzzlers. Right?

The carbon credits are available to anyone. The other automakers chose not to make EVs. That's their problem.

And they're expiring and small anyway. Tesla is printing money from its own operations, and getting chump change from government.

A few percent of its total revenue is what you guys are talking about. That's how pathetic the case against Tesla is.

Okay so they are punishing the competition and subsidizing them.
