Angel Studios believing that " Sound Of Freedom" if targeted to the right market and audience could make a lot of money so they bought it. They wouldn't have done so if they didn't think it would.

Ballard blamed the child trafficking problem on "the woke agenda" without offer his description of what the "woke agenda" is or offer any evidence supporting that claim.
According to published reports Caviezel has spoken at a QAnon convention and is a prominent proponent of conspiracy theories.

Ballard, Caviezel and the Harmon brothers are going to make big bank off a movie whose truthfulness and accuracy has been called into question. The Harmon's are Mormons and I'm not surprised. In my time on this planet some of the greediest, most money hungry people I've ever encountered are those loudly professing one form or religion or another but more often than not...hiding behind it.
None of that was in the movie. Absolutely none of it. They did point out sex trafficking is now a $150 billion a year business, second only to the drug trade. Bigger than the illegal international arms trade. That there are more slaves in the world now than when slavery was legal. If you think that any such info should be suppressed because the people behind it are religious then you're part of the problem.

I saw it. Two hours of torture porn with a healthy dose of anti-semitism. I try not to think about it when doing Stations of the Cross.
Maybe you should read the Bible and understand that it tells you all about the torture. It was very painful because he was very human. I’m glad you could try and white wash. And it was not antisemitic. And it showed how even people who knew there was a savior coming, could be deceived easily. Even though he was one of their own.

I fully understand Christ’s sacrifice. But I guess since I’m a liberal I’m not a True Christian like you.
If you support abortion, gay and trans literature in schools, drag shows for kids, that sort of thing then you and I are very different kinds of Christians. You're the one who reduced a depiction of Christ's suffering to "torture porn."

The movie had to be unrated because the MPA gave it an NC-17.
