Winter storm hits New York City with up to 13 inches of snow; over 2,000 flights suspended

More than 11 inches coated the Bronx and Brooklyn, while Rego Park in Queens received 13 inches, and 10 inches fell in Staten Island’s Great Kills. On Long Island, where the whirling snow reduced visibility to almost zero on the Long Island Expressway, gusts of more than 60 mph blasted through Nassau and Suffolk counties.

I would think New York gets 12 inches of snow more often than Atlanta gets 6 inches.

  2. At least New York has snow removal equipment.

True. They just remove it and dump it in the Hudson river

  4. They don't have snow plows and rock salt

Shame on them. Plows come off the trucks. They can't put one some in a corner someplace? They have the trucks

  6. I guess it snows so rarely that it's not worth the expense.

It’s been bitter cold down here, I can’t imagine doing this up there in winter.

It’s not as hard as it appears. Slow down, increase following distance and watch out for the other guy.

  11. It's was in the negative numbers this morning. And with the wind chill it's in the negative numbers now. Under armour and 2 pairs of long johns. Lol

What about the unplowed streets in a real city that turn to ice and don’t melt for two weeks? Gimme a break, it’s not that hard. I’m lmao.

Did you happen to glance in to a mirror? That would be the only joke in this thread.

Good one. You really are a fraud. I wonder if you’ve ever really even delivered sometimes.

Wonder how Niagara Falls looks right now with these freezing temps. We were looking of doing a long weekend up there and staying on the Canadian side at the Marriott Falls View. I was told the mist freezes and makes the falls look beautiful when it happens. Southwest flies up to BUF with a stop in several places, a couple of which are in Florida which is strange.

Good choice staying on the Canadian side.
