There will never be a land invasion of the US. We have a close ally (@rickyb ) to the North and the combined land mass is unthinkably large. Not only that but we have entire oceans on either side too. The supply lines alone would be impossible. Plus the best military in the world and a ridiculous amount of guns owned by civilians. Yes the young generation is a little soft but do you really think every 18-year-old in WWII was a hardened warrior?
It is interesting to think about but it just won’t happen. Enemies may try a million forms of sabotage but not an invasion.

For years they have set up baby birthing centers in the states.
So that their next generation can have dual citizenship.
Much easier to invade when the door is left open for you.
