What are some of the stories from your center? A lot of drivers have been fired multiple times, for something stupid they did. Not reporting accidents, banging someone's wife, etc.

A sup told me drivers in Germany are allowed to have a beer during lunch. A culture thing I guess.
Police officer notices what appears to be an abandoned PC in a cul-de-sac. Also notices the bulkhead and rear door are open as he can see through the package compartment. Calls it in and drives to vehicle to investigate. Driver is sitting on rear bumper smoking a fatty. PC filled with smoke.

A guy had a 750ml of jack in his lunch box. I believe he drives for FedEx now.

Had a driver do that to his helper several years back. Terminated immediately.

We had the same happen two Peaks ago. Helper came in off road crying uncontrollably. Driver, who was already on a last chance agreement, was terminated immediately.

In the drug and alcohol training they give us a scenario.
"John is in feeders and on his lunch. Since he's technically off duty, can John have a margarita with lunch?"
Our idiot OMS actually picked yes for that one.

We had a driver with a crack problem. When he would go broke, he would meet up with his dealers and fill their cars up with the company gas card. He got away with it for a while. He got caught when they went back to the gas station and watched the video.
We had a driver sexually harass a coworker. He was fired and got his job back. She quit and sued. UPS settled with her. He later was accused of harassing a customer and was fired but the customer quit her job and they couldn't find her to take her statement. He got his job back and still works for UPS.
Before EDD ,we had a driver during his probationary period having trouble making his time. He came up with the idea of DRing and stashing about 30 residentials behind a dumpster on his route. He would go back to the building, punch out, and go back to run the stops out of his personal car. He got caught when someone passing by saw him and called the center.

Just to show you have things have changed. This is about mid early 80's. Had a driver who was trying to make seniority used to
have his wife come out and meet him and give her packages to deliver in her car while he delivered out of the package car. That way
he looked great on paper. Really needed the job. Made no secret about what he was doing. Ended up getting the job and going into
management and stayed 30 years in various jobs finishing up as a on car sup. Good guy. Well liked.
