If it were me I would take a ride to the Fund office and talk to someone in person.

He won’t lose money—-he will receive how ever many checks, each taxed as requested, he has coming on the next pension payment date.

Optional days do not get paid out after any resignations. You have to use them in 710.

Back in the day our retirees had to drive to Syracuse to start the process in person. Mine was all done via email and fax.

You can, but the approval process is going to apply to the days individually.

7 days in advance, 5% rounded up allowed to take the day.

The Company will reassess on 8/1 and 9/1 and if the numbers aren’t where they feel they need to be they very well could up the ante. I wouldn’t bank on that but they came in to the buyout with a specific number in mind and will not stop until that number is met. Anyone who accepts their initial offer would not be eligible for “retro pay” if the Company goes to $2,500 or even $3K per year.

I have no trouble juggling it all. Technically still married and get along perfectly fine, just let her ride the good ol' UPS insurance.
