Teamster Buyout?

They’ve never done that here
Really? NYTPF sent them out and my last one was very close to my actual amount.

Pensions are pretty much the same within the same building—-anyone who is near retirement need only ask a recently retired co-worker to get a ballpark of how much their payment should be.

In our Fund, anyone near retirement who may be anticipating a buyout need only to email the Fund to get an up to date estimate.

This is difficult for you to understand. You were in a very small pension fund. I am in a huge one.

We get some general pension information about the health of the whole pension but if you want your own numbers, you have to send away for them and it takes numerous weeks after three or four.

No.

I'm aware that you wouldn't understand, due to your relationship status, but the survivorship options GREATLY affect the payouts, and are dependent upon the age differential of the spouse.
My wife stayed home for all the years.lMy kids were in school. She’s counting on my pension because she didn’t work. That was the deal we made.

Pretty sure I’m not gonna go home and tell her I’m gonna take the buyout because I have a ballpark idea of what we’re getting.

I retired 6/22/18—-had there been a potential buyout I would have postponed until there were firm details, including an offer letter; however, I would have left well before Peak one way or the other.

I think the Company will be shocked at how many drivers accept the buyout.

My pension is just one part of my retirement income.

Well, going off what you’ve been telling us we wouldn’t have that kind of time we would have to make a decision like a used car dealership
30 days which means potentially eligible members should be reaching out to their pension funds now. I would even take a day off and drive to the Fund office to ask for their assistance.

When the pension bailout was first announced i immediately reached out to my financial adviser to discuss our options. I chose the rollover.
