Telematics...UPS is wiring your truck

Man or man, you suck at being a spelling cop. I mean really, you can't spell criticZe with an s, and be on Cement's squad. Also, I didn't have any trouble understanding what SoberUps said, but it was YOU that didn't.

Come on, if you've been around UPS long enough to have an "educated" opinion, don't we have the right to know how long that is? Or, are you too afraid to admit that you haven't been around long enough?
Inquiring minds want to know. I would personally like to know what your function is at Big Brown. Driver? Part time sup? Pre-loader? Break it down for us.

Yeah!!! :grrr:

What you evidently haven't been around long enough to know is that the relief Dilli was talking about was relieve from 10-11 hour days, pushing packages out of crappy trucks that haven't been washed in months, as fast as you can. Then get into yelled at, your job threatened, and treated like a second class citizen the next day for not doing it fast enough. THAT'S the relief she and most drivers want and need.

If he is a driver he is a rookie.

I also beleive he has dreams of how wonderful management would be i believe he is aspiring to be my next supervisor.

If he is a driver he will learn about the o.t

also i predict that he runs lunch and sort's on breaks and i can almost guarentee he is running up driveways and driving to fast in residential neighborhoods

saying all day got to make my supervisor proud of me :woohoo:

and says screw the union i don't need them

He may learn a lesson after getting stugged in the back a few years :sword:

anyway :hypnosis: come to the dark side and enjoy it here

Are you not paid for working day in and day out. Relief in my book is called vacation. Maybe you should get a part time job so you don't have to work every day.
I don't have time for a part time job I work every day, sometimes more hrs than I care to. That's why I file 9.5 grievances.

Why should that matter? I gave my opinion and length of service should have nothing to do with it. I will give you a clue. I have been with the company long enough to give an educated opinion.
Educated opinion? Well would that be a 6th grade education? Maybe an 8th grade education? Somehow I doubt it's a college education opinion. To many years involved for that.

It seems YOU have made the same choice you say UPS has made, MONEY. If not so, then you would be working at the local McDonalds for minimum wages with lots of relief instead of working for UPS. Oh, that's right, you want your cake and eat it too. Sorry, life isn't like that, you get one or the other. If you want both, start your own company.
Ahhhhhh, so nice to hear from you again Vette! Where's your sidekick. Nevermind, I'm sure he'll be along anon.

Probably never will either. Doesn't have the cajones to admit it.

I think i have him pegged.

i wanted to give him a chance but he just wanted to not listen

i can appreciate his opinion even though it is not my own

but i think he needs to learn proper etiquette lol

I am not perfect myself

Can you explain to me what proper etiquette means to you? I stated my opinion about a response/comment made about the company I work for. I believe I have the right to stick up for the company that employees me and supports me and my family. Read the previous responses and ask yourself if proper etiquette was used.

Etiquette; Yes, maybe. Tone; No. I don't think that is the nicest way to speak to someone. I can only believe, from the way you presented yourself, that you treat the people that you work with, very poorly. Whether mgmt or hourly I feel, for the people who work near you.

Generally 1/4 mile total distance without a seat belt has been the acceptable level. Take a look at your total distance. If its below that, they should not be worrying about your usage.

P-Man

Unfortunatly P-man

Since we are the guinea pigs for telematics, they are squeezing out as much improvement in all areas including the small 3 feet with out a seatbelt "blips"

They are using all data from before and after telematics to get an improvement percentage for all other divisions to obtain. I'm not bitching about it, it has its good and bad points, thats why I am not stressing the conversation with the center manager about unhooking the belt 1/2 second before truck stops.

Heff if your sup was with you lets say training you on a run i can picture that belt coming off and he or she being up out of that seat before it is stopped i have seen it over and over.

so if that happens can we now compare his driving of the route with seatbelt off to yours or mine when we get spoken to about it.

Did anything i said make any sense to any one but me?:geek:

not sure i said it the way i was thinking it

I imagine it made sense to more people than you realise!

I remember driving with a sup with the bulkhead door open half the time. If someone caught him doing that now, he'd be applying at FedEx tomorrow!

They want improvments on everything that is monitored by the system now. P-man is right, you do it a couple times, no issue. You do it at every stop, the distance recorded will catch someone's eye the next morning.
