Tentative new 5 year deal in place.

If they don't why don't they find another job? Why would anyone work a job for a number of years if they hate it? That is really sad.

What's not to like. Ride around in an air conditioned van. Listen to the radio. Get out among the people and watch the clock move forward.
Actually I meant most people, not just FedEx. I look at job listings and there's very little that's appealing. But there's your answer. Those of us who aren't happy with what FedEx did still liked the job. Most of us anyways.

Why would ANYONE that works at ANY company work there if they hate going to work every day? Unless you make 6 figures, no job is worth going to if you hate it.

Most people have obligations that keep them at it. And they may have started out liking the job. Probably the single biggest factor in eventually hating a job is if they get stuck working next to some old blowhard who thinks he knows everything and never fails to let others know they're inferior to him.

Just telling it like it is
Shouldn't a person like their job and not hate their employer? I guess that is why you are so bitter in retirement. You should be glad you are retired and not wake up bitter. Life is too short to hate everything like you do.
Let me tell you something. I started out enthuiastic and liking the job until they started pulling crap and playing games. It’s the difference of what it could be like to work at Express to what it actually IS like. But you’ll never understand.

How is tent life working out today?

That's the only thing he has. Well, that and being stuck in the 40's when it was cool to treat women like property and believe "the black man" was inferior.
Once again Old Flatulence is a product of the Old South and in the collective mind of the Old South the 1960's was still the segregated 1940's . Trouble is, many down there believe that it still is.

Calling you out for being a bigot is complaining? Again, fascinating.

And believe me, when I'm not shaking my head at the stupidity you type, I'm laughing at it.
You complain about the job, the company, the managers, the pay, etc, etc. I find that very funny that people like you, OP, and many others complain about things related to your job, yet you set that alarm every day and go to that job. Why? Find another job that is more to your liking. If that is even possible.

Please cite where I have complained about the job. I believe I have stated the opposite and that, for the most part, I enjoy the job itself.

Same old retort from you, never anything with any substance. I mean for God's sake at least change it up once in a while. I guess trying to act like you're somehow morally superior is easier than actually using your brain.

Fantastic. Leaving for Ukraine on Sunday.
I am leaving for Daytona next week. Let me think. Would I rather enjoy the sun and beach in Daytona or go to a war torn country with a travel warning and thousands of dead as a result of the fighting. That is a tough choice.

Except management preaches service like it's gospel. The company doesn't care about the customer, so I stopped caring too.

Gee, sounds like you complaining to me. Bummer

Plenty more where that came from.

It's not a war torn country. There's a low level conflict going on in the farthest east provinces that have a majority Russian population. International airlines fly to Ukraine. Many tourists come there, especially the city I'm headed too. Have lined up a place for $160 a month, all inclusive. So would I rather experience a beautiful city that's extremely affordable for a month for less than what you'll drop in a week? Yes I would.
