Trump is inevitable. Sorry, Massie.
After voters reject you once, they almost never change their minds. In all of US history, losing presidential candidates have run again about a dozen times. Only three of those renominations were successful ā€” and only one since 1892. (Nixon was the only one to do it in the past 131 years.

Previous history doesnā€™t matter.

In 1980 it was a scandal that Reagan was previously divorced. In 2016 twice divorced, porn star screwing Trump is met with a shoulder shrug and ā€œmehā€.

In a month or so, this newness wears off.

Sure, but that won't keep Trump from winning next year's Republican Presidential primaries.

Maybe, maybe not. No one has even announced yet besides Trump. Trump running negative ads is a big turn off. DeSantis an establishment insider, Lol? That insider just won his state won his state by the largest margin of any Florida governor in 40 years. He won big with older voters and hispanics, and even turned Miami-Dade County.

I'd like a Trump & DeSantis ticket.
12 years of GOP Rule

Never happening
I don't know. I used to think the same thing. At first, I thought it would be Trump who would need DeSantis, but right now I think it's the other way around.
I like DeSantis, but the more I listen to him, I think a VP spot for a while is where he needs to be. One thing for sure, if they get on the same ticket, there won't be enough mail in votes to beat them.
