poor people have worse standards of living in north america than poor ppl in some west EU countries
The Poorest 20% of Americans Are Richer on Average Than Most European Nations - Foundation for Economic Education (fee.org)

"A groundbreaking study by Just Facts has discovered that after accounting for all income, charity, and non-cash welfare benefits like subsidized housing and food stamps, the poorest 20 percent of Americans consume more goods and services than the national averages for all people in most affluent countries. This includes the majority of countries in the prestigious Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), including its European members. In other words, if the US “poor” were a nation, it would be one of the world’s richest."

why is the life expectancy so low then?

View attachment 423970

we sortve know we dont have it good as workers here because our unionization rate is so low. we also know by law we get very little paid vacation (ive never gotten more than 3 weeks paid and ive been a railway conductor, ecg tech, car rentals - all union jobs). if you are poor, college is hard to manage. what about cost of transportation? how much money and time does it take to travel here? we dont have a strong labor movement...where are the strikes?

theres alot of signs that point to us not having a strong labor movement.

What does life expectancy have to do with your assertion that "poor people have worse standards of living in north america than poor ppl in some west EU countries"?

We're a bunch of fat :censored2:s because of our standards of living. If you're poor you get to eat berries your whole life and live forever as a twig.

You can definitely make an argument that our lifestyles aren't as healthy. But you can't argue that "poor people have worse standards of living in north america than poor ppl in some west EU countries." That's just not true.

The problem is there are people who never work the day in your life they're making more with government subsidies and benefits than all of this person trying to make their way through life
Not having meaningful work, or achieving things on your own, create hopelessness and despair. Drive to any ghetto and you’ll see it in the peoples faces. Most of them are good people, but they bought a lie.

the only thing i know of here is people will have lots of kids in the same house and hte govt will give money for that, im not sure how much

i looked up pewresearch and lower income families had $11,000 in wealth in 2016. so maybe thats 2 used cars with higher miles.

Or they're just so used to govern handouts they have no incentive to work

Many people on government assistance live better than people that actually are working

What I'm trying to say if you're not working how bad do you really need the car? And you definitely do not need two cars

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
