That is good. We don’t want to go into a contract year with all the drivers thinking how great and flexible the company is.
More full-time jobs with more reasonable hours.

Why can’t they start the preload earlier… lots of volume is already on the door when they start.
With the fuel prices The hub is holding some of the loads back

IMO they never really did that except for end of sorts…guess it depends how close the buildings are to each other…4 hour trip is hell of a lot different than 40 minutes

Im getting a bit jaded with us union members and our leadership. Who the hell came up with 9.5 hours worked as "overtime protection"? What a joke. Next contract, 8 hours everyday for those who want it.

So this is supposedly about helping the drivers with an agreed paid day. Some drivers staying out and some drivers running causing management headaches…
Had this situation happen a few times already….
Driver had decent stop count for the route and is almost done with his work around 6 (around the paid day the driver requested on the form)….then with 5 stops left gets told to go help someone else. Ends up staying out another 1.5 hours.
Defeats the whole purpose of it..Driver was
but it’s all a game for UPS to show at contract time that they “tried to help” the drivers.
