You said you thought Bolton would provide some wise counsel on Russia and NK but Bolton is as aggressive as anyone towards our enemies. He wants to establish American hegemony.
I hoped Bolton would convince Trump to take a harder line on NK and Russia. So far he has been a disappointment in that regard.
I suspect what you want is for them to rush in and look like fools getting us into some quagmire. Would certainly hinder Trump's reelection chances along with helping the Dems in the midterms.

Van says thing like “liberals only want to stop imprisoning babies because eventually they’ll vote democrat.” This is obviously absurd, some of us just don’t believe in putting babies in jail. Who they may eventually vote for is not part of the decision on why that’s a bad policy.

Really now? Is that how I view abortion? What is it now, close to 70 million babies dismembered in the womb? 19 million of them Black babies? How the hell is that good for America? Having conservative views isn't about my side winning.
