I would believe UPS management before I would believe them too!
Teamster low-level management's jobs are dependant on the current regime staying in place.
Desperation can cause some people to lose all their scruples and integrity.

Your career path in low level UPS management must have given you keen insight on loss of integrity and scruples.
But rest easy in your retirement, trading your principals at the door is still alive and well in UPS low and high level management and some of us see it first hand in your guys everyday.

I wish that your assessment of ALL management was true.
"Desperate" people do desperate things like "lying".
Your frustration must be with the Union like ours is with the management and
I could tell you true stories that would probably make you shake your head for a couple hours.
The worst part, IMHO, is that one side likes it that way because turmoil (in their mind) makes people work harder.
I have seen career hourly employees pull a "no call no show" or give a bitter speach on their last day here.
"I hate this job" is the mantra you hear often anymore.

1) Oh, I see it on both sides.
Union is as bad as management.
Union justifies their actions because of UPS managements' actions.
Two wrongs don't make a right.
2) I thought it was the Teamsters that liked the turmoil.
Most management I knew did not like turmoil or awareness.
Mushrooms in the dark was how most UPS management seemed to like things unless they were speaking in public.
