Two killed when UPS truck crashes into car, bursts into flames | khou.com Houston
That's messed up. Condolences
According to the website, this happened two and a half years ago. Why would it be relevant today?
Good eye Harry
June, 2010. Horrible accident.
Wonder if that driver still works for UPS. I'm betting, no.
Wonder if the driver would really want to.
There was an accident involving a FedEx tt in Texas today pictures on CNN.
I wonder if he had employment insurance?
If only he had known someone who could have hooked him up....
It's a shame.
What a difference it would make.
The big pile-up in Texas. Those FedEx trailers are mangled.
How does that insurance work in the case of a strike or work stopage?
I can't tell you how many close calls I've had with the green Fed-Ex tractor-trailers. Once had one nearly scare me full of excrement when he was coming in the opposite lanes of I-35, he had all of his driver side tires off the road...he woke up? and swerved back into the pavement. Still not sure how he pulled it off. He was flying..at least 75MPH, and he would have rolled straight towards me. There WAS a deep ditch between my side and his, but at his speed, I'm sure he would have taken me out too. I was wide awake the rest of that whole trip....
He's not working with us and should be facing vehicular homicide charges right about now ! Is my bet .
Were UPS feeders working today?
Possibly some sleeper teams.
I doubt it, I did the sleeper team, and the run that was supposed to go out the Tue after Memorial Day was cancelled because there was no sort on Mon.
Employment insurance? Never heard of it. Where do I check this out?
Similar accident 3 years ago in our center. Right in front of the center someone ran the red light in front of a driver at the very last second, ups truck drove over the car from the passenger side, killed a father and his two kids. The driver was a shop steward/hourly safety guy, many years safe driving. He was back to work 2 weeks later as if nothing happened.
