We use a middle ground. If anyone questions it we just say we are trying to reduce preload hours. Then they get rock hard and excited. So you fail to plan for most likely scenario, sounds like a brilliant idea.
We knowI'm a dumb Teamster FYI.

I get a push notification on my phone for the flights into the gateway now. I know when the last one arrives I have 1hr until it leaves the gateway and another hour until it gets on property.

Certainly you can get that cut down.I get a push notification on my phone for the flights into the gateway now. I know when the last one arrives I have 1hr until it leaves the gateway and another hour until it gets on property.
I've brought it up, but have yet to see results. I get the normal UPS response "We'll look into it."Another reason problems never get resolved; people afraid to tell them the truth, but tell them what they want to hear
As suggestion goes in file 13?I've brought it up, but have yet to see results. I get the normal UPS response "We'll look into it."

maybe your district was different but working day after thanksgiving completely changed mine for the better; saturday ground will be cool once we can start forwarding loads from weds and tues
Is that modern day management-speak?
Totally awesome, dude!
I live it and sometimes I shake my head. The funny thing is our dispatcher is a really sharp guy. I think the fire in the Hialeah building(which is our dispatch)just toasted(no pun intended)them all.Being preload sup introduced me to the stupidity of feeder dispatch. I gave up on trying to figure it out.
We were a small building. I'm talking 6 loads a day on average + air. One day they decided that they were going to send the first guy up with doubles instead of triples because they felt it made more sense to send the second guy with triples instead of doubles. But that volume was already on the hub's property the night before. I had some choice words for the dispatcher.I live it and sometimes I shake my head. It's not that hard.Being preload sup introduced me to the stupidity of feeder dispatch. I gave up on trying to figure it out.
Management never listens to hourlies.Another reason problems never get resolved; people afraid to tell them the truth, but tell them what they want to hear
I hear Viagra will fix that. It's not that hard.
I'll let you know when I get to that point.I hear Viagra will fix that.
They call it prick school around here(Isn't that the first response you learn in supervisor school?)
