No pressure on UPS anyway---air isn't a guaranteed service this time of year.Anybody working in Louisville chime in on this? Unfair labor practices filed.
They raised rates 40% since the last contract. Couldn’t they use some of that money?UPS has to pay big because of this last contract so expect big headaches coming. After every contract UPS finds ways to make up for the extra money the company has to pay out so buckle up cupcakes 2024 is going to be a bumpy ride

Did you notice a difference between before and after they went public? They raised rates pretty much every year even contract years in the past. From my experience, of almost 40 yrs there and many contracts I lived through, they always try to get more out of the drivers and start trimming the fat (letting people go) after a contact where they had to pay out more money. This contact plus the economy starting to tank is going to get UPS very creative in the way they save money. As I said enjoy the raise because there is always a price to pay. 2024 is going to be interesting.

Did that effect how hard they cut and penny pinched after contracts?Yes, it went from a company that stood with the drivers to a company that kissed the @ss of the customer and worried about every dollar. When it went public is when all the small perks (gifts of appreciation) started to disappear.
Did that affect how hard they cut and penny pinched after contracts?
Lol. Right...
Yeah. Big Guy is pretty tough. Lol.Good luck!
It is odd that an "elected leader" has so much time available to post on this forum. Oh- it's Friday. Sorry.
