I wouldn’t know, I’m in NorCal where we have arguably the best contract. My local is awesome and has never let me down.
Maybe when you have a local government and population that respects union labor you get a stronger union

If you are worried about that, you as an union might want to not automatically support the candidate with the D. You end up with Clinton and Biden pushing NAFTA through.

Bush Sr negotiated NAFTA, Clinton singed it into law. It was bipartisan and would have passed anyway. Don’t expect me to defend corporate Democrats.
I was only 9 in 1992, but like my dad I liked Ross Perot. He was the only one that could have prevented NAFTA.

I would say that at the very least, they’re more likely to appoint labor-friendly federal judges. But I largely agree with you; they do not represent the working class.

You can hope away.. but it will never happen...Any extra savings will go into the companies profits, executive bonus, perks and that those executive golden parachutes for doing a rotten job...
That quote of ($10,000) extra tax burden for every working person every year would eliminate any small raises that will be negotiated..Ask yourself if you were around then..what happen to the three year contracts back in the 80's with a dollar per hour raise back when a dollar meant a lot more than today. What about the fact that most of our union members are under a 4 year progression before they reach top rate and forget about the fact that these new 22.4's will never reach a hourly level as a RPCD...
Bottom line if the Dems get into office you will be settling for inferior Health and Welfare benefits if their goal is Universal Health Cover for All with the provisions of providing illegal immigrants health coverage and growing another welfare state of free benefits and forcing dependence on the Federal Dole...That will help the inner cities, that and defunding or demonizing our law enforcement...It will like "a Mad Max" movie in the streets on these democratic controlled cities...

Canada's average wait time for a specialist was 21.2 weeks in 2018. Wait time for an MRI was 11 weeks.
To see an orthopedic surgeon the wait was 41 weeks. Imagine screwing up your ankle and being out of work for 41 weeks before they even get around to doing the surgery.

If ever you unfortunately lose your job at UPS with no way to get it back, I hope your position on the matter remains the same as it does today. Wait times are longer but that's because people actually go to the doctor. I dont know how many people die every year because they can't afford to go to the doctor in America, but people in Canada actually get up and go! There never is a wait line for me when I go to the doctor and it always makes me wonder how many people are at home needing treatment but aren't in the lobby alongside me.
By the way, I respect your opinion. We can agree to disagree.
You need to realize that the union by defination is a socialist organisation. Everyone is equal. Everyone gets X, and everyone who is here X number of years gets Y in addition to X. same pay after 4 years currently, 1 week vaca after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2, 3 weeks after 5 etc.
