Who is excited to work your vacations due to Corona?

Wow.... I'll be damned.

Looks like you guys are in the running now with the southern region for worst supplemental contract.
Worse yet, I haven’t looked at that language in a long long time. Used to have triple time and reimbursement for vacation cost spent in there. Don’t see it anymore. Holy hell.

I just wish we’d hire preloaders. We don’t have enough drivers already and now some of the ones we have can’t even work a full route because they work preload everyday before driving.

The purpose of the MOU, is to allow drivers to bank vacation time for use as

a source of income in case they are laid off at a later date.

Obviously, the 623 supplement has some jacked up language regarding being

forced to work through vacations.... but, I'm guessing they are the exception.

Yeah- read farther down. And I see nothing in it discussing layoffs.

That's what it is for.
Well- it lists what you can bank them for and everything listed revolves around being sick from covid. Nothing mentioned about being laid off. Maybe you have different version of it much like there seems to be different versions of the contract. Either way- it does say they can force people to work through vacations.

The last bullet point mentions layoffs.

The 1st and 3rd bullets point are clear.... there is nothing sinister about it.

I made a call for clarification myself.

Yes it mentions layoffs- it says a local can exclude a building or classification from the MOU. Exclude. And it is very clear where it says "later is forced"

And some drivers believe they can be disciplined for not running "scratch"....
Yes the third one is clear regarding "banking". But the eighth one is clear also. "...later is forced". I am agreeing with your point but you are missing mine- or refusing to admit what was an obvious gimme by Denis.
