ya read the UPS 2016 annual report?

blah, blah, blah as usual. made billions in 2016 (over $60 billion) but is one point we drivers need to focus on. to quote over rated and highly over paid CEO Abney "in 2016 we (they) (supposedly) completed phase 1 of ORION now generating over $400 mil in cost savings and avoidance and are working on further enhancements that will deliver additional benefits in the future".

as info chief financial officer Richard (DICK) Peretz declared in 4th qtr 2016 it was a $300 mil. save. which is it folks 3 or 4 mil??? don't think they really know cause ORION didn't turn out to be a perfect science in phase 1 now did it? however, we have seen the over allowed write ups and production rides increase, all pre planned activities for beginning and ultimate success of ORION phase 2. total BS we know and can ignore. but the projected success of phase 2 will have far reaching effects as the commitment to the board of directors, environmentalists, share holders, etc. has been elevated. corporate Atlanta now poised to make ORION as close to %100 in compliance due to projected fuel cost savings of 1 Billion $$$$ from ORION. question to all Teamster brothers and sisters. what do you think is next and what can we do to combat the upcoming threats for non ORION compliance???? first make certain the methods are perfect. no short cuts, no favors, no working during lunch/breaks. if your close to write ups on any methods issues or safety discrepancies like with 5 seeing habits, 10 pt commentary, driver drill, etc. or Ketter concerns get it on record that you "want to be retrained" put it in writing, date stamp it. UPS MUST acknowledge a driver requesting to be retrained whether you think you need retraining or not. call their bluff. reread BC member Robert Piccone's post regarding GUIDE TO SURVIVAL AT UNITED PARCEL SERVICE local 340. especially read bullet points 11 thru 16 regarding working off the clock. working off the clock must stop. you see or hear of drivers working off the clock kick their arsses. mngts persistent harassment will have a cause and effect. they say your not doing the job right you ask them to show you how to do it better. there are not enough on road sups to retrain but you made your point. if they can't show you how to do it better, end of story, you win.

UPS is hanging their hat like never before on ORIONs success in 2017. ORION is projected to be UPS's biggest cost saving initiative UPS has ever experienced. we know what they will do when they want something. we have the answer to the overallowed/production BS and threats of busting ORION will be the only leverage we will need when we know for a fact that ORION will NEVER achieve 100% compliance. no computer system can replace the area knowledge a driver has.

hopefully we will hear from our Union soon on their plans to discuss/support our proposed contract language and also waiting on Department of Transportation's Secretary Elaine Chao's response to our inquiry. when the posts go up for what we want for contract negotiation proposals we will then provide the necessary steps and language that will secure our future, eliminate the constant threats of termination, and finally have the language we have desperately needed for decades now. the new proposed language will also cause the boys in Atlanta to think twice about any concessions in 2018 especially when CEO Abney was recently awarded a double digit wage, stock and benefit package.

time for a change folks GUARANTEED but we must stick together and send our collective message at just the right time. get the word out.

please trust us!

please be patient.

now for the skeptics and the doubters and the smart arsses to respond!!!

your turn!

Working on a new degree, Masters in BS Detecting!
Fact: The higher the Orion compliance I run, the more miles I am over plan. The lower the % the more miles I am under! Worse is this: The higher the % the more I bonus!

Been this way for well over 2 years now!
