After watching politics since 1968' and seeing the results from each election and what becomes of our society, it seems harder and harder not to think based on results that it's only the stupid people who actually vote to begin with!

You are younger than I am, and in 1968 you were still a kid, barely old enough to drive alone, even down South. How closely were you watching? 1975 was likely the first time you could vote. I understand your hesitancy.
The larger problem is our system is based somewhat on an individual vote, and if you choose to opt out of your vote, you really don't have a say in the choice. It doesn't help that in some cases a vote is cast based on 'irrational exuberance'. Witness 2016.

I wonder what our interracial porn system (democracy) would look like if an Electoral College did not exist? Hollywood, Chicago, and New York City would give us Democratic candidates every election cycle. And anyone in the "Heartland" would never have a say. I wonder if you had to show real identification to cast a vote, how many people would be disqualified? 3,084 counties out of 3,141 in the USA went for Republicans. I find this all fascinating because either nobody in the media or so called experts foresaw this coming, or they did and they continued to lie like rugs.

I didn't want to support a business that gave a bunch of money to Trump, so I found another source for my materials which was actually a few dollars cheaper than Home Depot. Union drivers, union shop, and top-quality stuff. No scabbed-out Cardinal Delivery for me. A Teamster delivered my blocks.
Where I live, the #1 gathering spot for illegal day laborers is Home Depot. Sometimes there are 20, and sometimes there are 50 or more. Landscapers and contractors pick them up every day. My guess is a lot of them are good Republicans.

A group of Senate Democrats will introduce legislation requiring President-elect Donald Trump to divest any financial assets that pose a conflict of interest and place the money into a blind trust.
The bill would also consider any violation by Trump of conflict of interest or ethics laws a "high crime or misdemeanor under the impeachment clause of the U.S. constitution," according to a fact sheet on the forthcoming bill from Sen. Elizabeth Warren's office.
Democratic Sens. Ben Cardin (Md.), Chris Coons (Del.), Dick Durbin (Ill.) and Jeff Merkley (Ore.) also back the legislation. They'll formally introduce the bill next month when lawmakers return to Washington.

I no longer support Home Depot. Ironically, the place you go around here to get a day laborer is Home Depot's parking lot. Home Depot does nothing to discourage their presence.
Hope this clears it up for you. Unfortunately, there is no crayon option available.
