My center is sinking, not hiring, everybody is filing 9.5 and nothing is changing. Saturday forced list is off the charts. Whatever!

fyi there is exactly zero care of a centers grievances when it comes to driver staffing

we plan a district to a plan day, which is driven by cost efficiency calculations; the entire district is expected to hit that plan, regardless of how they divvy up the pain amongst its buildings and sorts

we could do IE measurements on every building in the country that show they need to run slower, and it would be ignored 100% because Finance actually runs this company, no one else

im not excited about the 9.5 changes but if people can actually get 4x penalty paid out this may change.

Used to have a manager with a "tentative" agreement with the part timers that he doesn't write up call-ins on Friday. Half the shift stopped showing up and he would work supervisors with no grievances filed.

He eventually got promoted.

I will admit that I took advantage a few times. 3 day weekends!

Right, which is why they didn’t hire more drivers in these bigger buildings and just used the work force M-Saturday. It’s going to be difficult to pull that off under this contract, the company is going to have to hire more drivers or routes will be sitting/missed packages or put more stops per car.
