Well said. This is what several of us have been trying to tell @bbsam
Indeed a IC/ISP/CSP or any other variation X created never has and never will allow for creation of a free standing company or to create equity for those individuals holding any one of those creations. It was designed purely to create an access road to low cost trucking and labor and to divest itself of as much risk, liability and variable costs as it can divest itself of and in doing so create better margins . As one of the two guys who created RPS said when he retired to an island off the North Carolina coast with millions in his pocket said......."Fedex Ground is the most profitable company in the transportation business with trucking as it's core". Nothing more needs to be said.

So your job at UPS is not reality then either? Ah, I see.

It's a reality in which pay raises are on a contractual basis, not on the whims of a CEO who uses overly complicated charts and a complex system of market levels for the sole purpose of confusing the employees.

BTW, our next raise will be the balance of our 8/1 $.80/hr split raise on 2/1..

Just telling it like it is

The why do you obsess over FedEx Ground so much? You must endorse this kind of approach then don't you do? You gladly play both sides of the fence.

our next raise will be the balance of our 8/1 $.80/hr split raise on 2/1..
Happy for you.

Most UPS people deserve every nickel they make and then some. They put up with a lot everyday. You on the other hand should be paid FedEx Ground wages (chicken feed.)

And think how high the profits will be when fedex starts using ground drivers to get overnight packages the last few miles to the customer!!!!!
Well ok, but after we drive 20 miles from the station, if your driver isn't there to meet us to do the last few miles, we'll deliver it, ok?

Perhaps you should look for another business investment.
And think how high the profits will be when fedex starts using ground drivers to get overnight packages the last few miles to the customer!!!!!
And when you are charged back the full rate guarantee for each late package, and not your commission, that loud noise you'll be hearing will be a full phalanx of Express couriers laughing their collective a$$es off!

The Ground guys here are on road as early as 8 am which would give them 2.5 hours to get the air off on time.

That's because they don't have to wait on Express freight. Each area and station is different when it comes to leave and return to the building times. It mostly has to do with proximity to a hub or ramp. We also have some stations that are on the road before 8:00. You really should do your research before you post in the FedEx threads, dude.;)

Great point. We got our freight 3 hours late on Thursday.

So what difference is there between you delivering it late and Ground delivering it late?

That wasn't the intial point he was trying to make, someone pointed out that ground is on the road by 8 giving them almost an hour more to get off priority stops.

When you take over priority air stops you wouldn't be on the road any earlier than 9(and 9 is a good day in the middle of summer) , the express ramp situation is an extreme cluster :censored2:
