Was $8.50 in '82 = $14.79 in 2002

    what will $8.50 < = ? in 2008, when we will still be hiring new people at
    less < than ten dollars an hour...

    $8.50 in 2008 will finally be less than you can make starting at McDonalds.

    It will have taken twenty six years to have gotten to that point. Quite an achievement.


    No, up until that point the starting wage rose with each raise. 1982 was the last starting wage raise that part timers recieved.

    New hires were sold out for higher benefits for the existing workers ever since.
