This place doesn’t have any logic right now. Everyone is grabbing any number they can find and coming up with imaginary equations out of it that somehow :censored2: them and everyone else straight to death via this contract. It’s hysteria, and it’s stupid. It’s like nobody wants the company to succeed.

This coming from the guy that knows nothing about how Saturday ground operations work and a month ago said 22.4s will have easier jobs then RPCDs.

Because they won’t be doing the same job as a RPCD.

If you’ve ever worked on a Saturday delivering air, or worked a late shuttle day, you’d know what I mean. It’s waaaay easier work, so why does it deserve the same pay? The same veterans who want it to be paid the same are likely to be the ones who bid the class when it becomes available so that they can have an easier day. They just don’t want the hourly pay cut. Same thing happened with the 22.3s...

Again talking about something you know absolutely nothing about.

You act like a 10-hour Tuesday and a 10-hour Saturday will be the same workload. Saturday will be just like running air: more windshield time, less packages, less bulk businesses, less pickups, and so less pay.

Wow just clueless!

Yes. This guy and a lot of others are all doom and gloom about the 22.4 position, like the company is going to work them 12-13 hours a day, and that they’re going to be driving as much as RPCDs.

Please spare us your wealth of "knowledge" on how 22.4s will be utilized. Being as how you don't know JACK :censored2: ABOUT SATURDAY GROUND OPERATIONS!

Lunch is the best part of the day
Rpcd that are currently t-s are protected. BUt only the driver is protected. When they move to m-friend their t-s rpcd job is eliminated and filled with 22.4. Only the driver is protected. Any t-s job is not. Big concession

So lets use your numbers and say when your center does its count for RPCD jobs there are 50. So those 50 jobs are protected and when someone retires, quits, or falls over dead from excess overtime, those jobs have to be filled to maintain the 50 protected jobs. Now since there are 50 jobs in your center, there are allowed to be 12(13 if UPS rounds up) 22.4 drivers. But lets say UPS only needs six 22.4 drivers at the current time to handle the work in your center. When the centers volume grows over the coming years, do you think they will hire more RPCDs?? Nope!...they will add more drivers though 22.4 until they reach their 25%. So until the volume requires them to use more then 25% 22.4s, that 50 protected number will NEVER go up.
In some areas as of right now UPS is hiring a lot more drivers while we are working in between contracts. These jobs will be counted as well.

Starting wage is a waste of time.
I think your supplement has this covered with the part-time feeder drivers.
It actually does. When a route becomes available, all current full time employees can bid that job. Unlike your favorite article 22.4’s. You are aware that slavery ended? I cannot believe you may have been on the negotiating team. No wonder you needed to change your screen name. Embarrassment

Doubt it. Out west the VP’s take company bribes and get tossed for 2 years.
Don't worry there are many of those thing coming from the east as well. Your guy has a lot of things in his closet and there are some that are going to expose those things. Three years is a long time.
