Taking RPCD's work; 22.4's forced to work Mondays for the duration of peak.

We are over worked as it is , you think guys aren’t going to want days off? THINK! Are you a 22.4? YOU’RE IN MONDAY!

All Monday work is required to be offered to RPCDs first and foremost. If extra drivers are available and an RPCD wants the day off; that RPCD can take the day off. If all RPCDs are OK working 8 hours on Monday at peak, OK. But, if not, that Monday work is rightfully the RPCDs.

Points being: If an RPCD does not want to work 6 days at peak; working as many hours as possible M-friend reduces the chance of being forced in Saturday.

If an RPCD desires all the OT they can get up to the 70 hour max; Working as many hours as possible on Monday, instead of letting 22.4s steal this work, would give the RPCD the best chance to get Max OT.

RPCD DO NOT WANT “ MAX OT” ...AKA “MAX TAXED”

I worked 59 hrs one week during peak , 69 hrs the next..paychecks were about $100 different from each-other after taxes... it’s not worth it.

Right, and they don't have to work the OT on Mondays if 22.4s are allowed to work Mondays. But RPCDs who DO want the OT absolutely should be able to get all the work they want on Mondays before 22.4s on their scheduled day off get the work that is rightfully the RPCDs. .
Absolutely
But I think right now after this long summer most drivers would take an easy Monday if they can get it.

Yep; a DIAD message should be sent out on Thursday and or Friday. Response required: Who wants to work Monday? Who (RPCDs) want all available hours?

This would solve 3 issues. 1. RPCDs who don't want to work or are happy with 8 hours would be able to. 2. RPCDs who want all the OT they are rightfully entitled to would able to get it. 3. 22.4s who do not want to be forced to work 6 days a week would not have to. Easy Peasy

8 hour GUARANTEE

not a as many hours as you want guarantee.

Tuesday to Friday. Yes. RPCD guarantee is 8 hours.

Monday, absolutely not if a 22.4 is working. Extra work is afforded in accordance to the contract. 22.4s are not the same classification as RPCDs. 22.4s are scheduled to work Tuesday to Saturday or Wednesday to Sunday.

The Company may create full-time 22.4 combination driving jobs. Such jobs may include inside work. In the event the Company utilizes this classification, ..... All 22.4 combination drivers shall work a five (5) consecutive day schedule of Tuesday through Saturday or Wednesday through Sunday. This paragraph shall supersede any Supplement, Rider, or Addendum on the same subject. 4. No RPCD shall be laid off or displaced from the classification while 22.4 combination drivers are working in the building.

Section 16—Extra Work Seniority shall prevail for extra work and the work shall be assigned by seniority, within the classification.

Please enlighten me how the Monday Extra Work is not rightfully the RPCDs. Or make something up. lol

Please enlighten me how RPCDs are not working their guaranteed hours on Monday and how they are displaced from their classification?

You go out with over 8 hours of work. If after your route extra work is available then you have a right to it over a 22.4.

Again... Not considered extra work.

Also weren't you the guy that was swearing driver's would not work Monday because their would be no work after 22.4s take it all on Saturday?

Now it's there is too much work on Monday and 22.4s are stealing it.

You just want to complain

What are you talking about?
The Monday work is forced or offered to the 22.4s the previous Friday or Sat. The extra work already exists. They are not in the classification, they have no right to our work.
How about an actual contractually acceptable response?
You can not provide one that holds water.

If I really have to tell you how projected excessive volume and extra routes is not extra work than it's not worth my time.

By all means file a grievance or better yet a NLRB charge. :)

Nothing to see here.... Move along.
I've seen so many world's crushed when people would try and max hours Monday through Friday so they can not work Saturday only to hear...

We've raised hours from 60 to 70, see you at 9pm.
