If you mean the Union is weak because of lack of participation from the members....

I would agree.

Depends on your supplement.

It's funny, how entitled people are these days.

This generation has a need for immediate gratification, not wanting to put in the time.

BUG, Do you give the company back anything now if you are negotiating? I don't. Not a thing.

You're only experience, is with Local conditions.
(if any experience.... at all)

That is completely unrelated.
The language is in the master Buger.

Name a local where part timers win full time bids over full time employees.....

You're just spinning the BS line the Union fed you.

22.4 will win RPCD bids before part timers. To say if you don't like 22.4 then don't bid it, is completely out of touch with reality and a flat out BS line.

Yes here, we have newly created 22.3 jobs that full-timers cannot bid on, only part-time. The A/B/C moves between the biannual bid, FT bid on.

Sorry man but all of the southwest package rider.

PT and 22.4 will bid for RPCDs together and the person with the most company seniority will win it.

At least there is someone here (besides me) that has any knowledge.
If you had the knowledge you would have dropped it Buger.

I'm glad someone who actually knew shared some information and picked up the slack for you though. That's kind of the point of this site, you should take notes.

Interesting
I keep hearing about good things from your supplement. Wish the union would have had the sense to implement that kind of stuff nationally. Most of us are getting screwed.

There are plenty of jobs out there where you hardly see you’re family. You either quit, don’t apply for the job, get educated and get a proffesion in that field or just be a man and work hard to provide for your family in the hopes your offspring will fare better than you.

what's the point if you can't even see the people you're working your ass off for?

The Union is not being forthright. We are not all stupid here. But some are naive due to not being informed. Part-timers should be explicitly informed of the fact that if they go 22.4 full time; they will have no OT protection and have to work up to 60 hours or more per week. UPS stating that they care about employees family time is disingenuous at best. This Contract only increases excessive OT. How can UPS and the Teamsters give no OT protections to at least 25% of the full time employees FOR 5 YEARS - Indefinitely?

If 22.4s were allowed to be on the 9.5 list; they still could be forced to be at work for 11 hours due to the possible 1 and half hour wait between shifts. WITH NO 9.5 PROTECTIONS; 22.4S COULD BE FORCED TO BE AT UPS FOR 15 AND A HALF HOURS IN ONE DAY IF THEY HAVE THE HOUR AND A HALF SPLIT IN BETWEEN THEIR SHIFT.

AND THEN THERE IS THIS FROM THE DOT: May the driver of a property-carrying vehicle be on duty for more than 14 hours? Yes. A driver can continue to work beyond the end of the 14th hour of the day, but may not drive a commercial motor vehicle (unless using one of the 16-hour exceptions). The additional on-duty time will reduce on-duty time available under the 60/70-hour time limit.

22.4s deserve the right to spend time with their families. 9.5 PROTECTION FOR ALL.. IF UPS TRULY CARED ABOUT FAMILY TIME; WHY NOT OFFER ALL OT ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS? AND FORCE OT IN REVERSE? IS IT THAT THE 22.4S FAMILIES DO NOT MATTER?
They have OT protection in the WEST!!
