You believe either that consolidation is either a good idea or it isn't.Absolutely merge , but make everyone employees so the company can be successful and give workers living wages and benefits

It's no different than it's ever been, other than shipping volume decreasing for us, Ground, and UPS.No , just trucks bulked out pictures complaining they aren’t paid enough and people rejoicing their last day after they quit.
People are definitely starting to wake up to the contractors model and being treated unfairly
I believe it is , making everyone employeesYou believe either that consolidation is either a good idea or it isn't.
Would make little difference either way.I believe it is , making everyone employees
It’s night and day differenceWould make little difference either way.

Consolidation is either a good idea or a bad one. Makes no difference what the ratio of employees:contractors is.Back at ya
That’s an insane statementConsolidation is either a good idea or a bad one. Makes no difference what the ratio of employees:contractors is.
The reason you argue otherwise is obvious and silly.
We had people start the week before we found out people would be let go.We just got our hiring freeze lifted , wonder what that means
I don’t see why anyone would stay with the company unless close to retirement. They are showing you already how much they care about employees. No , just trucks bulked out pictures complaining they aren’t paid enough and people rejoicing their last day after they quit.

That's pretty sad. Similar to when they were telling me newhires they'd top out in 7-8 years when they had no intention to do so. Just meet their immediate needs and if that means letting newhires think they had landed a job with a future that's no skin off their backs. We had people start the week before we found out people would be let go.
You just described the daily work experience of a Ground contractor employed driver. That's pretty sad. Ground drivers aren't being told they'll have retirement, healthcare, etc.You just described the daily work experience of a Ground contractor employed driver.
Yep , $ 18.00 bucks an hour whether you deserve it or not.Nah. No contractor promises top out pay in 7 years. You get top rate when you walk in the door. Lol.
Oh, some are being told that they'll have healthcare.....Until they're told that they have to pay the premiums.Ground drivers aren't being told they'll have retirement, healthcare, etc.
How do you know?Oh, some are being told that they'll have healthcare.....Until they're told that they have to pay the premiums.
As a matter of curiosity I responded to some posted ads. We got down to benefits and the matter of the advertised healthcare and who pays the premiums. They didn't like being pinned down but finally they said that the employee if they wanted health insurance the premiums would be deducted from their pay.How do you know?
Do they get any cola?Nah. No contractor promises top out pay in 7 years. You get top rate when you walk in the door. Lol.
