It cost more to park my own vehicle at the airport than to rent a vehicle in Minneapolis for 4 days. I can't figure out how that is possible.

The airport has a terrible tram system, lousy concourse setup, sky high parking, terrible on time record. I can't remember the last time I had a smooth flight on Delta out of MSP. Some connection is ALWAYS over booked or canceled or late. Delta sucks.
