People wouldn't be so cynical if cops didn't set up speed traps in schools zones more to generate revenue than to protect kids.

There are a lot of school zones with absolutely zero pedestrian traffic but the nearest streets will be school zones anyway.

Our school zone just got moved out to the Main Street. A state numbered road. The town managed for 100+ years without it there.

The nearest school to me has a school lane to get in and out of. The nearest main road is a 2 lane road with no sidewalks and a farmer's field on the other side. Which is where they put the school zone.
